In 2020 Emma Cooper produced Penguin Bloom, based on the Australian best-selling book of the same name. The film stars Naomi Watts, who produced through her Jam Tart Films alongside Made Up Stories. Penguin Bloom premiered at the 2020 Toronto Film Festival and in January 2021, Broadtalk celebrated the film’s release on Netflix in key territories and in cinemas throughout the world. Broadtalk continues to develop a slate of unique and diverse stories in partnership with the best creative talent across the globe.

Emma Cooper has spent her career celebrating and promoting Australian talent and stories. She most recently produced Penguin Bloom starring Naomi Watts alongside Andrew Lincoln, Jacki Weaver and Rachel House. Prior to producing, she worked as a Film and Talent Publicist. Her passion for cinema took her to Europe and the United States where she worked with some of the world’s greatest storytellers. Later, she founded International Celebrity Relations Inc., navigating celebrity partnerships for Australian brands. Ms. Cooper graduated with a degree in Arts from Sydney University. She is Deputy Chair of the Australians In Film (AiF) board in Los Angeles.
